Finding My Way Back to Art

For as long as I can remember, art has been a part of me. I studied it in school, I admired the greats like Boris Vallejo, Frank Frazetta, and Luis Royo, and I always felt a pull toward creating. But, like many artists, life took me in different directions. Responsibilities, work, and family filled my days, and my passion for painting slowly took a backseat.
A couple of years ago, I decided it was time to pick up the brush again—not just as a hobby, but as a real pursuit. Reintroducing myself to art has been both exciting and humbling. Some days, it feels like coming home. Other days, I struggle with the weight of self-doubt. But through it all, I’ve learned that making art isn’t about perfection—it’s about expression, growth, and the simple joy of creating.
Lately, I’ve been exploring different aspects of my work. I love diving into fantasy themes, where I can bring larger-than-life characters and worlds to the canvas. At the same time, life paintings and studies help me sharpen my skills and reconnect with the fundamentals of form, light, and emotion. Each piece is a new challenge, a new story to tell, and that’s what keeps me pushing forward.
I’m excited to keep sharing this journey—whether through finished paintings, studies, or even works-in-progress. If you’ve ever felt stuck in your creative path, just know that it’s never too late to start again. The important thing is to keep going, keep experimenting, and most of all, keep creating.
